A rainscreen, also known as a ventilated facade, is a system of installing cladding that, in effect, creates a double wall with about a 1- to 3-inch space of air between the screen and the exterior wall.
Venturer believe the days of popular Aluminium rain screens are numbered, due to their repetitive painted appearance and the massive amount of embedded energy and carbon that is inherent in their manufacture, transport and ultimate recycling.

Venturer Thermo Wood is produced by heat treating finnish grown Pine wood to temperatures in excess of 200 degrees Centigrade. During heat treatment, chemical and structural changes occur within the timber which
alter and improve some of its basic characteristics.
The resulting product is an altogether more durable and stable timber, an ideal material for use in exposed areas such as
external wall claddings. |
